“...Focus on your mission and forget the labels which separate and segment your marketplace. Whether travel is for adventure, for heritage, cultural preservation, education, training, conservation, personal enrichment, self renewal or recreation is less important than the impact we make while we’re there. Market distinctions like sustainable tourism, responsible tourism, community-based tourism, ecotourism, and my least favorite ‘voluntourism’ are window dressing if our impacts and motivations are not serving those less fortunate in our path.”
