Aysen Launches an Original Contest that Offers a Free Trip and Participation in a Tourist Reality Show

The participants explain, through a video, why they want to visit Aysen. The winner will win a trip for two persons, with all the expenses paid, to the beautiful zone where is Carretera Austral and Laguna San Rafael at the south of Chile. Travelers from Argentina, Brazil, USA, Spain, Germany, UK, France and Chile can participate and upload their videos at the web site  www.exploreaysen.com.

Since November 12th, travelers from eight countries have been invited to participate in an original contest. The prize will be a unique opportunity to travel with a companion to Aysen Region and participate in a reality show about their trip. This reality is going to be filmed by Eduardo Bertran, a famous Chilean TV director.

To participate, contestants must be legally of age (18 years old); they must live in one of these countries: Argentina, Brazil, USA, Spain, Germany, UK, France and Chile; they have to complete the corresponding form with their personal details in www.exploreaysen.com (in this web site are the legal bases of the contest) and the contestants have to upload a video (of 30 to 50 seconds of length) with the reasons they want to travel to Aysen region.

Aysen is one the most captivating zones in South America. It stands out because its evergreen landscapes, millenary glaciers, the Pampa Patagónica, fiords, channels and the possibility of many outdoors activities. All of these attractions make possible to live an unforgettable adventure.

Aysen Region is in the south of Chile, and its regional capital is located 1.786 kms from Santiago –the Chilean capital city- and you can arrive to this place by air, sea or earth. There are flights every day (3 hours length) and, by sea, you can travel from Puerto Montt in catamaran or ferry (10 and 22 hours respectively) to Puerto Chacabuco, a town located 82 kms from Coyhaique.

If you want to go by land, you should take a bus from Santiago to Puerto Montt (12 hours), and then take the boats or ferries.

In these landscapes, the winners will enjoy activities like trekking in eternal ices, rafting in plentiful rivers, watch birds like condors and unique animals like huemules, riding horses, taste the typical food and learn about the traditions of one of the most austral regions of the world.

“In a 12 days trip, you can walk in the ice, use a kayak in fiords, go down on Baker River, watch condors from cliff of Ñirehuao River and see the amazing turquoise water of General Carrera Lake and its Sanctuary of Marble Chapels”, declares Americo Soto regional officer of Sernatur Aysen.

The winner is going to be announced on December 21th in Explore Aysen’s web page, Facebook (Explore Aysen) and Twitter (@exploreaysen). The organization will take contact with the winner to arrange their visit to Aysen Region, water and life destination.
