Mira Poling Anselmi

Originally from the arid mountains of New Mexico state, Mira cultivated a deep connection with nature and love for adventure while exploring the desert, hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, and backpacking with her family. She began visiting the Pacific Northwest as a child and fell passionately in love with the Salish Sea, the islands, mountains, and evergreens and decided at an early age to land there someday.

An avid storyteller, she received a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism and Photography at the University of New Mexico and spent a transformative year exploring many countries in Europe from a home base in Denmark.

She and her husband were fortunate to travel, hike, and backpack in several countries including Colombia, Iceland, and New Zealand before starting their family. Their travels are a bit tamer now, but their two young boys already love camping and the family plans to return deeper into the backcountry with each coming year with hopes of getting them whitewater rafting and skiing as soon as they can.

Mira became an ATTA member while guiding educational photography tours and leading the marketing team for a tour operator in Seattle, Washington, where she currently resides with her family. As the newest addition to the ATTA team, she brings a passion for fostering connections between mindful people, building community, and empowering conscientious businesses. As the membership maven, she looks forward to being a champion for our members, strengthening the ties that bind us to one another, and helping to raise our industry as a whole.
