Search engine optimization for press releases, journalist-oriented, company-branded micro Web sites with access to image databases, and media alert services for public relations practitioners are among many of the progressive news-generation tools being made more accessible to members of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) vis-à-vis new partnerships with Market Wire and TravMedia.

Both TravMedia, the international news portal for travel industry professionals, and Market Wire, a full-service distributor of corporate press releases, today joined the ATTA network to expand their exposure within the specialized adventure travel industry. The news distribution companies have allied with the ATTA in response to the growing influence of the adventure travel market within the overall leisure and travel market.

“Inventive and laser-focused news distribution services across targeted media and marketing channels are critical for the adventure travel community,” said ATTA Director Chris Doyle. “Rapid changes in the mediums, services and channels travelers are using to get information generally require businesses to shift from mass market communication strategies to more specialized and productive outreach solutions.”

According to the ATTA, continued growth in the adventure travel community has generated increased demand for more meaningful, sophisticated and affordable ways for travel providers and destinations to engage travel journalists and reach desired audiences. With the new alliances, ATTA Members through the association are provided access to enhanced news distribution resources at significant discounts that are more technologically advanced, tailored and affordable than were previously available.

“Media interest in adventure travel is on the rise,” said Mark O’Toole, senior vice president, TravMedia USA. “We’re working closely with adventure travel industry leaders to align our services in a manner that delivers cost-effective and tailored tools that connect businesses with the media, and ultimately positively influence the bottom-line.”

As part of the service-exchange alliances, both news service organizations receive access to the ATTA’s robust marketing channels to showcase their innovative news distribution and media relationships tools. Among its channels, ATTA is host to the annual Adventure Travel World Summit, publishes the online trade resource, AdventureTravelNews™, and provides ongoing marketing tools, resources and research for more than 200 members worldwide.

“Partnering with the ATTA enables us to reach a large audience and educate them on the ways in which Market Wire can distribute client news with the best rates in the industry, as well as increase their overall web presence and drive large amounts of traffic back to their corporate websites,” said Darin Wolter, Market Wire director of sales. “We’re convinced that with the right PR efforts, smaller businesses could see their overall brand presence and ROI increase dramatically.”
