KRCB is the PBS television station broadcasting to San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties as well as the East Bay of San Francisco. KRCB is also carried on Direct TV and the Dish Satellite Network throughout the Bay Area.

"Summer Spree: Travel, Leisure, Food & Wine" is KRCB’s annual televised Auction that’s on air for two three-day weekends in late April 2006. As well as reaching a potential 2.4 million viewers in its broadcast area, the Auctions are also streamed live via their website at www.krcb.org.

KRCB extends an open invitation to for members of the adventure travel industry to participate in either or both televised events. It’s an interesting opportunity to market adventure travel product to a sophisticated audience profile and show your support for PBS (which also airs multiple adventure-oriented travel programs such as the Globetrekker series) at the same time. Its high-income, sophisticated viewers are adventure travel enthusiasts and they receive an excellent response to vacations that are "out-of-the-ordinary", travel to exotic locations, eco-tourism and exhilarating leisure activities. No cash outlay to KRCB is required.

There are various Levels of Participation ranging from the minimum $150 level to over $5,000 for those wanting extensive promotion. For businesses participating with a retail value of $500 or higher, you will also be included on its auction website with link to your site. Additionally, presentation of items with a retail value of $2,500 or higher is made through a professionally produced video that is shown prior to and during auction (which they've always done). KCRB is also now linking the videos to each donor's item on our webpage. So, if a bidder is interested in particular item, they can go to the station’s website and watch the video as many times as they'd like. (Go to www.krcb.org, either of the Gold or Platinum board levels, to see the video links to each item).
