'Adventure Travel – Staying Power' at NY Times Travel Show Featured in Travel Pulse

The adventure travel panel the ATTA is sponsoring at the New York Times Travel Show received coverage in a blog post on Travel Pulse by James Shillinglaw. The panel is also serving as the 2011 ATTA New York regional meeting.

Focus on Adventure, sponsored by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), which is holding its holds regional meetings in New York in conjunction with The New York Times Travel Show. The ATTA will give a briefing on adventure travel trends and the latest news and research for all travel professionals. The program starts at 10 a.m. with a welcome address by Shannon Stowell, president of the ATTA. The session then offers insights into significant shifts in the marketplace; how “adventure travel” has earned its place in the leisure travel industry; how the stature of adventure travel has risen; and how attending professionals can prepare themselves to capitalize on selling adventure travel. Significant time is devoted to networking and the ATTA meeting is open to all travel industry professionals, including tour operators, destination marketing representatives, specialty and adventure travel agents, service partners, consumer and travel trade media.
