Terres d'Aventure Press release - Nepal - july 2015Nepal has always been dear in the heart of Terres d’Aventure. Since our creation in 1976, we have never stopped exploring this trek paradise and have enabled travellers to discover this wonderland. We were the first French Tour Operator to make them walk across the country from the Kangchenjunga base camp to Makalu’s.

We have been very affected by the violent earthquake that struck the country last April. With our customers, we immediately provided emergency assistance to our Nepalese teams. More than € 60,000 were raised and distributed to our guides, porters, cooks and administrative teams.

However this aid must not hide the urgent need for our Nepalese friends to welcome tourists soon. Nepal still remains very tourism dependent. For the upcoming season, starting next fall, the country needs more than ever our support.

This is why we have decided, after checking security conditions, to re-open 14 routes in the following regions: Dolpo, Mustang, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Everest.

We also believe we will be able to organise soon trips in the regions of Manaslu, Ganesh and Kangchenjung. We will confirm this in August.

During this difficult moment, our clients were able to measure the incredible kindness and dedication of the Nepalese people. We now wish to show them our support by bringing our customers back in the country as quickly as possible.
