Preparations Underway as ATTA looks to Africa as host of 2013 Adventure Travel World Summit

Denver, CO –  In addition to the classic wildlife safari in Africa, now adventure travelers to Zimbabwe can also enjoy ziplining over Victoria Falls, whitewater rafting on the great Zambezi River, sleeping under the African stars, Tiger Fishing and mountain biking over the course of a week-long safari.  As the African tourism industry looks forward to welcoming international adventure travel operators to the continent as part of the Adventure Travel World Summit in 2013, Zimbabwe is taking the lead in designing thrilling safari adventures.

Today, Travel Marketing Worldwide, a leading marketing company focused on building relationships between African travel companies and the U.S. travel trade, and Great Zimbabwe, a unique collaboration of Zimbabwe’s top travel suppliers and experiences, announce the new 8-night Zimbabwe Adventure Tour. This new journey includes Victoria Falls, Lake Kariba, Hwange National Park and Motobo Hills National Park and in addition to the traditional Big Five wildlife safari experience, offers travelers a chance to get their hearts pumping with a variety of active adventure activities.

“We couldn’t be more excited about showcasing our world-class adventure experiences with this new itinerary,” said Beck Edwards, CEO of tour operator Off 2 Africa. “Not only does Zimbabwe offer outstanding value for money right now, but as a destination we embody the principles of the ATTA as well as we work to protect and preserve the people and places across our beautiful country and ensure sustainable development of our tourism industry.”
