Wilderness Safaris is thrilled to announce the launch of Private Journeys – a fully integrated division within the company that has evolved from the previously independent-brand, Wilderness Touring Cape Town. The new Private Journeys division offers exceptional tailor-made, privately-guided tours of Cape Town, the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands and other Western Cape attractions.

“We haven’t really changed what we offer, but we have certainly enhanced how we offer it,” said Private Journeys General Manager, Charles van Rensburg. “Our focus is to offer unique and extraordinary privately-guided experiences that are off the tourist track but still showcase the very best of what the Cape has to offer. We also wanted to elevate our Private Journeys to be more aligned to Wilderness Safaris vision; creating life-changing journeys and inspiring positive action, and are therefore delighted to now be fully integrated under the Wilderness Safaris umbrella.”

With over 20 years of experience, Wilderness Safaris touring division has a wealth of knowledge and value to offer guests and trade partners alike. Instead of overwhelming guests with many options, the Private Journeys team has analyzed and handpicked their top recommendations, offering a select range of extraordinary experiences for people to enjoy, with a variety of add-ons available – thus allowing guests the opportunity to tailor-make their stay according to their exact needs and preferences.

“Our dedicated team is ready and waiting to craft each and every individual itinerary and to emphasize our creativity, commitment to sustainability and love for the Cape!” added van Rensburg. “We are also not limiting our Journeys to the vehicles we own in our fleet; if a guest wants to do the Journey in a convertible, Mini, top-spec’d Merc or BMW…ask us and we will find it”.

As a business-to-business operation, Private Journeys has also started to develop the ability to book these packages through the Wilderness Window – Wilderness Safaris’ innovative online booking system. “By simplifying all the options available, it becomes easier for all our consultants and agents to sell Cape Town. We are also working on a ‘course’ through Lobster Ink, a multimedia education platform, in order to teach people how to piece together a Cape itinerary; all with the aim of making it as easy as possible for consultants and agents alike to book Private Journeys with us,” added van Rensburg.
