Reflections ~ ATTA President Shannon Stowell
Scott Fitzimmons will be greatly missed in this community.  We mostly knew Scott in a business environment but that didn't keep us from having many meaningful interactions with him.  As a way of remembering him, I went back and re-read all the email correspondence between us and it fit perfectly with my memory of who he was:  supportive, thoughtful, kind-hearted and optimistic, even in the face of difficulty.  We at the ATTA are honored to have known Scott and extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones.

Message from Zegrahm Expeditions:

Our dear colleague and friend, Scott Fitzsimmons, lost his long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 25. As you know, Scott was a part of Zegrahm Expeditions’ senior management for 13 years, serving as company president for much of that time.

A genuine friend and highly respected colleague, Scott will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure and privilege to know and work with him for his incredibly strong work ethic; witty sense of humor; and, most importantly, a genuine interest in everyone with whom he came in contact (as well as his uncanny ability to remember even the most minute details about a person.)

Scott helped each of us at Zegrahm see the beauty of this world and he is deeply missed by all of us. A memorial service will be held—details are not yet confirmed but please continue to check our Blog for information. We encourage those who wish to post a comment or share a ‘Scott story’ to do so on our Blog.
