The Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) honored Ripon Printers with one Best of Division award, an honor based on participant’s size category, three Best of Category awards and 17 Awards of Excellence. The judges also named Ripon Printers Second Runner-Up in the Best of Show Category for the printing of Elite Traveler Magazine.

Elite magazine won Best of Category awards for fashion/health/pop culture magazines as well as magazine series. Ripon Printers also won a Best of Category award for Traditional Woodworking, Volume 15, in the web press printing (1,2 or 3 colors) category.

In selecting Elite magazine as Second Runner-Up in Best of Show, the judges said, “This entry represents superior printing. Rich, bright color on all subjects, multiple cross overs, careful equal margins, crisp clean printing, clean reverses and perfect registration kept this entry in the running. You couldn’t ask for a better piece with a combination of printing press equipment married to create a magnificent product. And it was achieved in all three pieces submitted. They are beautifully done.”

Stacy Saltzman, Ripon’s account representative for Elite Luxury Publishing, sees the awards as a team effort. “I couldn’t be more proud to represent Ripon Printers, but our entire plant should accept these awards. From details in the work order to preflight, plate curves, imposition, QC checks and proofing, all the way through great press and bindery crews, and down to the attention to detail and timeliness in shipping – everyone at Ripon simply does a great job!”
