Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition Announces Two New Board Members

CFO of Outdoor Research Audrey Hicks and Giant USA General Manager Elysa Walk have joined Board of Directors

Boulder, CO – The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC), the only national nonprofit professional and educational organization dedicated to workplace equity, diversity, and inclusion in the Outdoor, Snow, and Bike Industries, is pleased to announce the addition of two board members: CFO of Outdoor Research Audrey Hicks and Giant USA General Manager Elysa Walk. Recently retired from the board are Kristi Rummel, Larry Harrison, Lisa Morrison, Megan McGovern, outgoing President Lori Harrod and Secretary Sara Lingafelter.

President Julie Harris welcomed Hicks and Walk who commenced their initial two-year term at the beginning of 2013. “Chosen for their skillset, leadership, and industry experience, the OIWC Board of Directors serves a vital role in strategically positioning the organization for its next growth phase,” said Harris. “We are extremely honored to have Audrey and Elysa—both industry leaders who bring a unique and valuable perspective—join our team this year.”

Hicks has served Outdoor Research for eight years. Prior to being named CFO, she served as the Director of Finance and Vice President of Finance and Administration for the company. As CFO, she over­sees all of the corporate support teams, which include finance, human resource and information systems departments. She has been a member of OIWC for seven years.

Walk joined Giant Bicycle, Inc. in 2004, taking full responsibility for Giant USA as general manager four years later. She has launched multiple industry-leading initiatives, including a women’s-specific bike brand, Liv Giant, and a successful annual Giant dealer convention. She has been a member of OIWC for five years.
