Expeditions Mexico Verde is the First Adventure Resort in the Country Who Has Received the Distinguished Green Key Eco Label Award

11055359_1131462866870932_3055369963219022615_nThe momentum recognition that rewards sustainable practices, was given today at the installations of the camp in Jalcomulco, Veracruz. Specializing in rafting, zip line, rappelling, river trekking and sand boarding, among other experiences Mexico Verde makes waste separation, for a decade has had its own treatment water plant, produces organic detergents used in their operation and avoids the use plastic bottles.

These are just some of the 85 requirements that the camp has completed of the 100 stipulated by Green Key. The road to certification began a couple of years ago.

The mission is to not only get the Eco Label Award from Green Key, but also try to change a little bit the concept of a traditional hotel with a view to environmental care, says Mauricio Morales CEO Expeditions Mexico Verde.

The Eco Label Green Key Award is given by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and is supported internationally by the United Nations Program for Environment Unit and the World Tourism Organization and UNESCO

Two Thousand four hundred (2,400) properties in the world have been given this award and they are located in 49 countries, as stated in the Official web site of Green Key.
