EXO Travel is delighted to announce some fresh faces have joined the team in key senior positions throughout our Asian portfolio.
These 3 appointments closely follow that of Sandor Leinwand recte Rein as new General Manager for Myanmar late last year, replacing Richard Moreau.
Born in Amsterdam, Sandor speaks five European languages. He rolled into the exciting world of tourism immediately following university and has since travelled extensively around 55 countries.
Sandor began his career as a Tour Guide and Tour Leader throughout Asia and Africa, where he learnt valuable lessons about the experiences and expectations of travellers before embarking on the role of General Manager at a Southeast Asian DMC.
Jason Rolan becomes the new General Manager of Laos replacing outgoing GM Jason Blackwell.
Jason arrives with more than 10 years’ experience in Asia’s tourism industry, including 5 years as Country Manager in Laos for Buffalo Tours, Country Manager for Trails of Indochina in Bangkok and more recently in Laos working for Khiri Travel.
As well as his extensive experience in Laos’ tourism, Jason also speaks, reads and writes fluent Lao.
Matthew Blench joins as Director of EXO Adventure
Matt takes over the reins from Holly Richter and will be leading the future strategic direction and operational oversight of EXO Adventure. Before joining EXO Travel, Matt was with DMC Treasure Travel Laos as General Manager.
Originally from Southampton, England, Matt fell in love with Southeast Asia as a backpacker in 1993. With an extensive history of working in the traveI industry in the UK, he finally moved to Thailand in 2005 to become a tour leader running trips throughout Indochina.
Jean-Baptiste Richard is new Assistant General Manager - Thailand
Jean-Baptiste is no stranger to Thailand or EXO, having previously worked with EXO Thailand between 2005 and 2008 as Product Manager and North Thailand Operations Manager in Chiang Mai.
Jean-Baptiste is well travelled, having been to more than 60 countries including the majority of EXO’s destinations and he considers Thailand his home and speaks the language fluently.
