Banff, ALBERTA - CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures (CMH) announced the appointment of Joseph Flannery to the position of President, effective December 3, 2012.

Offering heli-adventures since 1965, CMH is the world’s most experienced and largest heli-skiing and heli-hiking operator. Based in Banff, Alberta, CMH operates exceptional mountain experiences at 11 lodges located in the Bugaboo, Purcell, Selkirk, Monashee, and Cariboo ranges of eastern British Columbia, Canada.

Flannery joins CMH with a successful track record of approximately twenty years of business development, sales and marketing experience with demonstrated ability in building distinguished and reputable brands including Mountain Hardwear, Montrail, The North Face, adidas and Nike.

Most recently, as Global Vice President of Marketing at Mountain Hardware, Joe led the brand’s revitalization.  At The Meriwether Group, a private equity investment and business acceleration firm, he held the role of Managing Partner focused on international business development, sales, marketing and operations.  Prior to this, he was with V.F. Corporation as Global Vice President of The North Face brand.  Joe started his career as an entrepreneur who funded and grew a start-up sporting goods company selling it to Canstar Sports (Bauer Hockey) in 1994.  After that, he held various global roles in business development, sales and marketing with Nike and adidas.

A skier and passionate athlete, Joe and his young family will be based in Banff, Alberta.
