Mexico to Host WTTC’s First Regional Summit

Assistant Editor’s Note: Mexico recently hosted its first Adventure Travel World Summit this October. The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) just announced that it will hold its first Regional Summit on 16-18 May in 2012 in Mexico. The Regional Summit will be hosted in Cancun, Quintana Roo by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism. The WTTC Americas Summit will cover North, Central, South America and the Caribbean. It will be held immediately after the T20 Ministers Meeting, which will be held on 14-15 May 2012 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Experts to Debate Role of Tourism in Fostering Regional Integration and Social Inclusion in the Americas

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Government of Ceará, Brazil, will bring together international and national experts to debate the impact of tourism on development, social inclusion and regional integration in the Americas (Fortaleza, Brazil, 28- 29 November 2011). Bangkok: The first Pacific Asia Indigenous Tourism Conference (PAITC) will take place on 28-30 March 2012 in Darwin, Australia.
