Call of the Wild guide Laurie Bagley was named an “Outdoor Master” by the San Francisco Chronicle. Bagley, the 19th U.S. woman to summit Mount Everest (via the North Col route in Tibet), also holds the time record for her 133 minute Mt. Shasta Ascent. Laurie says her motto is “One step at a time.” She is also a 2007 inductee to the California Outdoor Hall of Fame.

Laurie is passionate about the wilderness and women. She will guide for Call of the Wild this year, with her trips including summiting the highest point in the lower 48 States – Mt. Whitney, Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, and crossing the California Sierra Mountains along the John Muir Trail.

Laurie guided for Call of the Wild in 2009, with trips including Yosemite National Park and the Eastern California Sierra Mountains. Laurie returns to Call of the Wild in summer 2010 to share her experience and take on more of the California Sierras Mountains. She enjoys working with women, hiking, and backpacking.
