Vancouver, B.C. - To cater to the growing population of single travellers in North America, BikeHike Adventures announces singles-only departures on three select adventure tours worldwide. Each adventure vacation is scheduled during 2013 and will be exclusively comprised of solo travellers, promoting a safe environment for singles to journey with likeminded people. Trips do not include a single-supplement fee, a common deterrent to singles interested in group adventure tours.

Since 1996, the number of people living alone globally has skyrocketed from 153 million to 277 million in 2011, an 81% increase in just 15 years. In the US, 27% of households have one person living in them, with the UK at 34% according The Guardian. The results are that more and more people are travelling solo.

There are many reasons why singles choose to travel solo. Sometimes a frequent travel partner isn't available. Other times singles want to meet new travellers with similar travel styles. Singles-only adventure tours offer singles fun, security, and group harmony.
