When the financially minded folks at the Wall Street Journal decided to focus on a different kind of value, the value of adventure, ATTA member Maple Leaf Adventures was thrilled to be included in their list of trips that provide the “ultimate bragging rights”. Maple Leaf’s “Whales & Totems of the Great Bear Rainforest” expedition cruise, which takes place in British Columbia, Canada, was featured. “We North Americans tend to think we need to fly across an ocean to experience rich wildlife areas and exotic holidays. Yet we have this still-secret, wild coast of BC and Alaska to explore. It’s very cool that the Journal recognizes this.” Maple Leaf Adventures is an eco-cruise company that had dedicated decades of time and money to the protection of wildlife and landscapes in the Great Bear Rainforest. This coverage was the result of a media query from the writer, distributed to ATTA members.
