The 2014 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards hosted by World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) are still open for entries until the 2nd of December. Gaining a prestigious ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’ Award brings recognition and reward for your organisation’s hard efforts to deliver Travel & Tourism in a responsible and sustainable way.
WTTC is encouraging businesses and organisations committed to the principles of ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’ to apply before the deadline to ensure their efforts are recognised. To inspire potential applicants and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards WTTC has launched new animated film explaining the application and judging process from the applicant’s point of view. Aimed at the smaller business initiatives which might not have the WTTC on their radar to date, this short film is expected to encourage SMEs dedicated to sustainable tourism to enter the competition.
As announced earlier this year applicants can enter in one of the following six categories:
- Business Award
- Community Award
- Destination Award
- Environment Award
- Innovation Award (new award)
- People Award (new award)
