Join us at the 16th annual Los Angeles Times Travel Show on January 17th for an AdventureConnect Social event after the trade day has come to a close.

In special partnership with the show organizers and Baja California Sur Tourism, the ATTA invites all travel professionals with an interest in adventure, nature and cultural tourism to gather in a casual networking atmosphere.

As a part of our overarching mission to serve as the hub and facilitator for responsible, profitable adventure tourism organizations the Adventure Travel Trade Association and its regional representatives design AdventureConnect events to facilitate networking among outdoor and adventure-focused tour operators, travel agents, destination representatives, tourism boards, gear and apparel brands, travel writers/media and more. This ATTA AdventureConnect-Spain is made possible in collaboration with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The ATTA AdventureConnect will take place at UNWTO Headquarters, Calle Capitán Haya, 42, 28020 Madrid.

AdventureConnect will be held one day prior to the start of Spain’s FITUR 2014, which will be attended by the ATTA’s Chris Doyle, Executive Director-Europe, Antonio del Rosal, Executive Director-Latin America, and Rebeca Yañez, Membership Director, Latin America.

As a part of our overarching mission to serve as the hub and facilitator for responsible adventure tourism organizations, the Adventure Travel Trade Association and its regional representatives design AdventureConnect events to facilitate networking among outdoor and adventure-focused tour operators, travel agents, destination representatives, tourism boards, outdoor gear and apparel brands, travel writers/media and more. Access the full AdventureConnect event calendar.

One aim for this forum is to work together to help build bridges and strengthen cooperation between Europe, North America and Latin America. Another key objective of this AdventureConnect is to learn from participants about the “hot” topics, needs, issues and matters that are most important to the success of your tourism organizations and adventure travel businesses, and to the future of our industry. To accomplish this, we’ll engage in dialogue about what matters to you and explore what the global network can do to support these topics in both the short and long term. A more detailed agenda will be provided as we draw closer to the event.

Following the 3-hour forum, we anticipate that participants will migrate to a no-host, AdventureConnect Social gathering at a nearby locale for those who wish to continue exploring topics discussed earlier in the day over in an even more relaxed atmosphere.
