Seattle, WA.—Leaders in adventure and nature tourism throughout Europe are invited on March 6, 2012 to join the global Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) between 12:30-16:00 CET (GMT+1) for the first ATTA European Regional Meeting in 2012 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

At the Regional Meeting, led by Chris Doyle, ATTA Executive Director-Europe & Editor, Adventure Travel News, participants will access an ATTA industry-wide News & Trends executive briefing, a preview of the Adventure Travel World Summit (also being held in October 2012 in Lucerne), and the chance to meet face-to-face with others in the business that share mutual interest in information exchange and cooperation. Participants will include European tour operators, packagers, destinations, tourism boards, convention and visitors bureaus, travel agents and media.

The purpose of this gathering is to encourage attending leaders to discuss the creation of a well-connected European community of adventure and nature-based tourism stakeholders, each sharing interest in attracting new business, accessing new markets, pursuing innovative international marketing strategies, best practices and new product development opportunities. Following the Regional Meeting, the ATTA will share with attendees the concepts discussed during the meeting and help to facilitate ongoing networking among this group throughout the year.

The ATTA Regional Meeting venue is sponsored by Lucerne Tourism and will be held at the KKL in the Club Rooms. Lunch will be provided, courtesy of the ATTA and Switzerland Tourism.
