Ft Collins, Colo. — Outside Magazine’s Adventure Towns Issue hit newsstands this week. Colorado-based Adventure Media placed two destination clients in this year’s line-up. Boise, ID was named the Best Overall Adventure Town in the US. They have been selected for this honor by National Geographic Adventure Magazine in the past. Also on the list was Port Townsend, WA, part of the Olympic Peninsula of Washington.

The criteria used by editors to select this year’s winners included: the number of population with bachelor’s degrees; cost of living, access to trails, rivers, skiing and livability.

Outside Magazine bills itself as America's leading active-lifestyle and adventure-travel magazine dedicated to covering the people, activities, gear, art, and politics of the outdoors.

Adventure Media is an 11-year-old PR agency based in Ft Collins. They are the only media relations agency which serves the adventure travel and outdoor gear and apparel industries exclusively. Convention and Visitor Bureau are a specialty of the company and these results confirm the success of that representation.
