This is an unique step taken to boost up archaeological tourism. As I belong to Kolkata,India , i also feel that the heritage structures which are also living evidence of archaeology available to be promoted from the seat of ministry of tourism ,as well as private tour operators. As Kolkata was the british capital almost 200 years , so in this city we have no. of exhibits of such structures, but unfortunately most of them are in dire state. Lot of organisations took measure to restore these, but because of our red tape politics most of the restoration work either stalled or not started yet .Not only Kolkata but in whole West Bengal we have so many of them. The style sometimes colonial[Baroque,Indo Serasenic,Gothick, Corrinthian Pillars, Moorish, Paladian, etc] alongwith Bengal Thatche d Roof Style which are still in practice in the village areas of the state for leaving.

If these relics are lost due to negligence ,then we do not have any answer left for future.Because like other states State of Bengal can be promoted easily asa sector of Archaeological Tourism.
