35-year Tourism Industry Veteran Jean Bouffard Joins Adventure Canada as Senior Advisor, Business Development & Product Innovation

Port Credit, ON - Adventure Canada is excited to welcome veteran travel professional Jean Bouffard to the team as Senior Advisor, Business Development and Product Innovation. After seeing three straight years of growth, and with a variety of new voyages set for 2014, this is the ideal time to welcome Bouffard aboard to support the family-owned company on this next stage of development.

Bouffard, who spent 35 years with Tourisme Québec, is focusing on developing strategic partnerships within the North American market for Adventure Canada, with a special interest in alumni connections.

“It’s truly a pleasure being part of Adventure Canada’s dynamic team,” says Bouffard. “And with Adventure Canada’s reputation and exceptionally high rate of guest satisfaction, the partnership opportunities are endless.”

Starting as a tour director in Western Europe, Bouffard spent several years in New York City as Director of Tourism for the Government of Quebec. He also taught at the Management School of Université du Québec à Montréal and at LaSalle College and more recently, advised Tourisme Quebec on US and Canadian market strategy and coordinating cross-border office operations.

Like Adventure Canada, Bouffard understands and demonstrates the importance of experiential travel by engaging with cultures and regions in new and genuine ways. Last January, Bouffard was recognized by the Educational Travel Conference for his contribution to the advancement of learning and enrichment travel in both the Canadian and American tourism industries.
