Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) To Hold Regional Meeting in Boston, February 19, 2010

The first in a series of the ATTA’s 2010 Regional Meetings in North America will be held during the trade-only day of the 2010 Boston Globe Travel Industry Conference on February 19th. JITOA Negotiates Landmark Professional Insurance Coverage for Member Tour Operators

Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) is pleased to announce that it has negotiated with the Euro-Arab Insurance Group to offer its tour operator members Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance coverage. Members have the option to purchase this coverage from September 1st 2009 and by January 1st 2010 all JITOA tour operator members will be required to maintain this insurance coverage. Similar coverage has long been a requirement for many national tour operator associations, including the (USTOA) and the (BTOA). Until now, such coverage has not been available for Jordanian tour operators. The development of this coverage is another mark of JITOA’s ongoing efforts to raise the standards for Jordan’s inbound tour operators to meet International Best Practices guidelines. OIA Survey Reveals Business Outlook is Turning Cautiously Optimistic

Sentiment Improves, but Economy Remains a Top Concern Boulder, CO – In a survey released today by Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), small businesses reported that while they are still concerned about the economy, their revenue expectations are up sharply in the past three months. Download the Survey Now OIA, in conjunction with Piper Jaffray Companies, recently surveyed industry executives with respect to their view of current economic prospects, recovery timeline, cost inflation, and the effect of tighter credit market on near-term business operations. Results of that survey are now available in a new report entitled, The Piper Jaffray Outdoor Industry Survey. This was the fourth survey conducted by OIA and Piper Jaffray in the past twelve months, and was conducted during late September through early October.
